Changing Europe's Global Role and the Impact of the Transition on the Central European Region

Brussels Office | Foreign and Security Policy

, 15:00 | Zoom

The Antall József Knowledge Centre cordially invites you to the online expert exchange on Europe’s changing global role and the impact of the transition on the Central European region.

The online conference aims to discuss the European Union's position on the international stage, which, as a result of technological competition and the economic recession following the COVID-19 pandemic, has changed.

On the one hand, the debate will examine the future of economic and institutional convergence between the Member States, which is essential for maintaining the European Union's leadership. On the other hand, the event will discuss the possibilities of designating the Union's identity as a global normative power, promoting European values, through a common foreign policy and common foreign trade. In our discussions, we will focus primarily on the perspectives of the Central and Eastern European region and address the issue of Europe's strategic autonomy.
