The development and application of environmentally friendly technologies have become basic requirements of international competitiveness. It is no coincidence that global players, such as China or the European Union, attach great importance to green innovation based on the sustainable use of natural resources. In recent years, the push for the broader implementation of renewable energies has led to the adaptation of decarbonisation policies. China promised to go carbon neutral by 2060, and the EU plans to achieve the same by 2050. Based on these objectives and the increasing global competitivity in these areas, the need for international cooperation focussing on green innovation is also significantly growing.

The following event organised by the Antall József Knowledge Centre in partnership with the China-CEE Institute aims to find answers to questions related to green development such as: What exactly does carbon neutrality mean? How do these global players plan to achieve their targets? What kind of policies and incentives are there for the private sector, and how can governments support them in the transition? Is it possible to create a future where clean and renewable energy dominates?
