Anett Mádi-Nátor, a senior cyber security expert, was the first invited guest of the Innovation Talks programme series, premiering with a lecture called Data Protection and Cyber Security in the 21st Century.

Our speaker experienced and have a deep knowledge on the challenges of the data protection efforts of both the private sector and government agencies. She is currently responsible for the strategic business development of the Cyber Institute, an international organisation for cyber security, and is the president of Women4Cyber, established by the European Cyber Security Organization and the European Commission.

The interactive nature of the event allowed the audience to ask questions at any time.

Anett first talked about how someone can be a cyber security expert in Europe today, touching on university trainings and opportunities. In addition, she informed the public about the current situation of the profession and about the changes and developments in Europe in the near future.

Later, she talked about cybercrime and how cybercriminals took advantage of the pandemic situation. In addition, she talked about the topic of cyber diplomacy, cyber defense, e-commerce, and innovations of the field.

At the end of the event, Anett answered several questions, including the issue of cyber security for small and medium-sized businesses and digital transformation pressuered by the pandemic.
